sublime, meet the ridiculous

sitting in a cold house, afraid to pay the heating bills this year, because they were so insanely high last year. sipping hot tea and wearing two sweatshirts to keep warm on the first morning this season the temperature fell below zero (Celsius), as my red hibiscus blooms beside me with raucous abandon.

driving Hiro to work this morning, and seeing a massive river of fog flowing above the south arm of the Fraser, spreading out to cover the delta near Howe Sound. thinking of poetry to do justice to this great exhalation of beauty.

coming home to read my email and start my work day, to find an eviction notice for late rent payment this month. we still have five more days to pay, but with all my income tied up in the ongoing IRS insanity, which is also threatening to engulf my car, I'm struggling to avoid the big panic as I wait for word from the lawyer (who just called).
